Mafia Run
by Catalina DiA

I always had been a bad girl, so it wasn't a surprise that I was behind the bars at sixteen. They found me too rebellious for the juvenile court. For two dark and lonely years, until yesterday. A man walked in and clamined to be my father, and he'd come to take me out of jail. Though I knew he wasn't my father, I followed him out. I just wanted to be out of the helluva place. But I had never thought that I'd repay him by joining the Mafia. Yes, my savior was a mafia boss. The thought of it sort of scares me. Weird, right? I, being scared.

Today was my first day at my new 'job'. I didn't have much to do, just to smuggle dead bodies to Cuba, and drugs to Vietnam. I knew it sounded strange, but I'd learnt long ago not to suspect anything the boss does and says, in order to keep life. Afterwards, I explored around the Mafia secret base, and made some new friends. The people were pretty nice, by Mafia standard, but I knew better than to trust them. You could only depend on yourself in this big, vicious world. As for exploring, I couldn't get to anywhere-- I had no access.
At lunch break, my boss had to go out, he wanted out also, but not with him. To go on a mission.
