She picked up the gun with her black-gloved hand, put it into her pocket. She checked her image in the mirror once more, and watched as a sly smile flicked over her face. Everything was ready. Time for action.
She walked along the beach. The sand was cool below her feet. She could hear laughters in the distance. Nick and Megan. Those two are so happy, but happiness couldn't last forever. It's time to end this chapter.
She hid behind a large rock, waiting for the time to strike. A shooting star whizzed by. Just as Megan was about to raise her hand and open her mouth, a beam of laser shot through her heart. Megan dropped to the sand. Her mouth still opened, the words never said. Nick was shocked. He couldn't scream.
Sorry, Nickolas, for causing you the pain. But this has to be done. You are mine, and mine only... The girl behind the rock slipped into the awaiting car and sped away before anyone could catch her.
