Solitude
Here is my haven
Where pink turns a purplish hue
The blinds drawn over the windows
And the door is rarely open.
Here is my sanctuary
Where I need no mask to wear
Where the world becomes a dream
And where my mind swims in thought
Here is my cage
Where no one can penetrate
Where I am not alienated
For I am in the company of only myself.
There – will never be
A place where dream meets reality
Where I can walk bare as a baby
Newly born to the harsh world.
