A bronze age world created by Greg Stafford for the RuneQuest role-playing system. RuneQuest is a wonderful system that allows characters to branch out into whatever area’s they choose. A mighty warrior in tons of steel has just a good of chance to pick that lock on the treasure chest as the thief in leathers, if he bothers to learn how. Everything is broken down into skills; jumping, tracking, attacking, etc. Advancement in a skill can be accomplished by training or by successfully using the skill. After all, nothing teaches a boy better about how to climb a tree correctly, then going out there and climbing trees. The campaigns are all original. No modules for this crew. Often filled with political intrigue as much as monsters and mayhem. There are multiple campaigns that intermingle, both on and off-world, and several successful cross-campaigns between DM’s.
An ancient land with a long and glorious past. Created in its entirety from the mists of imagination of one of our DM’s. A multi-continent world with a rich history and a future largely created by the heroes (or villains) that travel on it. In this world, when your men are overrun by giant spiders and all end up dangling in the rafters as dessert, the next treasure seekers who arrive and kill the beasts, will find your bones, and your stuff. Originally created using the Dungeons and Dragons role-playing system, it has recently been converted to the RuneQuest system.
A new world recently found, by accident, by one of the luckiest unlucky companions. Though still using the RuneQuest system, there are new creatures, politics, and history to be discovered, loosely based on the Magic, The Gathering trading card game. For those who have dealt with an opposing deck containing thorn thallids, the dangers are all too clear. |
