�1989� C&O Canal:
This was our first ever bike ride. We started in Cumberland MD Where the C&O Canal towpath
Terminates. We followed it to George Town Near Washington DC. 186-miles.
�1990� The Skyline Drive:
For our second ride we drove to Front Royal VA to start our ride to Waynesboro VA
first night stayed at Big Meadow campground. The next Day we pedaled to Waynesboro
staying overnight in a motel. The next morning 6:00 AM we started back to Front Royal
all in one day. 101-miles one way.
�1991� North Hills to Erie PA - Watkins Glenn NY:
Started our third ride on route 19 in the North Hills, Pittsburgh PA
pedaled to Presque Isle in Erie PA stayed over two nights in a Motel then
pedaled back to the North Hills.
We also pedaled around the finger lakes near Watkins Glenn.
�1992� Glacier National Park - Montana:
This was a weeklong trip staying in lodges along the route
using �Going To The Sun� Road. Rode over Logan�s pass.
�1993� Gettysburg, Skyline Drive, C&O Canal:
We toured the Gettysburg battle fields then re-visited the Skyline Drive
And the C&O Canal only doing parts of each. This was a three-day ride.
�1994� Denver, Georgetown, leadville, Aspen - Colorado:
This also was a weeklong trip staying in motels.
From our starting point we biked about 30 miles to Georgetown.
The next day we pedaled to Leadville.
The next day on to Aspen and returned by the same stops.
We pedaled over three passes Loveland pass, Fremont pass, and Independence pass.
Met up with a German fellow going over Independence pass. Bernd S.
�1997� Jackson Hole, Grand Teton�s, Yellowstone National Park - Wyoming:
Flew into Jackson Hole stayed overnight, next day rented bikes had
Breakfast checked out of the motel and started biking passed the
Grand Teton�s stopping at Colter Bay. The next day on to Grant Village.
The next day on to Roosevelt Lodge near Mammoth hot springs
seeing the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone along the way.
Pretty much the same trip back in reverse order.
�2002� we did three different rides:
July -- Greenbrier trail in West Virginia.
Saw the Cass Railroad.
August -- Bethel Park PA to Ohiopyle PA
September -- Pittsburgh PA (North Hills) to Mars PA
