Dear All, I'm very excited to tell you my album is starting to get into shape - my songs are taking on a life by themselves - and side by side they really complement each other. I now for the first time really understand the expression "kill your babies", as I've had to leave quite a few songs behind that have been with me for years. Have to focus on what's best for the record! I'm having the best time in the studio, getting to play lots of cool instruments, and having a blast with my musicians and my producer. I'm so blessed to work with such talented, fabulous, focused people. Time goes by so fast and I'm trying hard to appreciate it all while it lasts - being in the studio is pretty much the only part of what I do that feels like a real job - I get up about the same time every morning and come home for dinner every night. That said, I can't wait for my album to be released so I can go back out on the road again... I miss it so much! Thanks for being patient! Much love, Marit. |
