Everybody Loves Raymond
"You know what the amazing thing is . . . is that I can funtion at all." - Ray
Ray Barone has a wonderful family - wife and kids, lives in a nice house on Long Island, and has his own Sports Column in Newsday. Great life, right? Wrong. His meddling parents live right across the street and drop by anytime they see fit. To make things worse, Ray's resentful older brother, Robert, still lives with his parents. This show is fabulously hilarious. I'm sure a lot of married couples could relate to this. Marie & Frank are one of the funniest older couples I've seen on televsion. Robert's new wife is gonna have a heluva time adapting to this family. Good luck to her. Don't miss this show!!
Will & Grace
This show is about six friends trying to make it in the Big Apple. Monica Bing is a neat freak with who's head chef at a restaurant and married to Chandler Bing. Chandler is never at a lose for words and we're not really sure what he does for a job. Living across the hall is an aspiring actor, Joey Tribiani. Although he loves women, he's also very caring. Monica's brother, Ross Gellar, is an unlucky paleontologist who's been divorced three times! Rachel Green, once a rich girl, lives with Ross and, although they are no longer romanically involved, are raising a daughter, Emma. Phoebe Buffay is a massage therapist/singer who's not "all there". Through good times and bad, these friends stick together. It's destined to become a classic and is a very funny show. Watch it!
In the NYC, Will Truman is a succesful, charming lawyer and Grace Adler is an interior designer. They've been friends for a long time and are a match made in heaven. But there's one problem - Will is gay and Grace is straight. Grace's job is made stressful by a wealthy, pill-popping Karen Walker who works only to keep herself "down to earth". And Will's outrageous Cher-loving gay friend, Jack McFarland, completes the ensemble. He's a would-be actor who carries a lot of emotional baggage and recently he found out he has a son. This show is a one of a kind, I wouldn't miss it. It breaks down the gay barrier and sets a precedent for other TV shows. It's a fun half hour. Check it out.

Jack: "For your information, most people who meet me do not know that I am gay." Will: "Jack, blind and deaf people know you're gay. Dead people know you're gay." Jack: "Grace, when you first met me, did you know I was gay?" Grace: "My dog knew."

J.D. started out as the new medical intern at Sacred Heart Hospital along with his college buddy, Chris Turk - a surgical intern. Along the way he meets the pretty, but awkward Elliot Reid - also a medical intern. J.D. is guided by nurse, Carla, and the tough Dr. Cox. Somehow J.D. also manages to make an enemy in Neil Flynn - the Janitor who never misses a chance to make J.D.'s life miserable. This show is sort of a mix between ER and Malcolm in the Middle. I think it's the best new series in a long time. It follows J.D.'s path of starting out as just an unsure intern into a confident doctor. Each show has kind of a moral to it. It's a great show, I recommend it. Watch it!

Late Night with Conan O'Brien
NBC
This is the one of the only talk shows that I can actually stand. In, fact it's pure genius. Conan O'brien is a sexy hunk of manbeast that has to be one of the most hilarious hosts on talk shows today. His segments are some of the funniest I've seen, better than Jay Leno and David Letterman. One of the things I love about him is that he's man enough to be self-effacing & doesn't have not problem with making fun of himself once in a while. Conan has many numerous and diverse guests on the show, including many cutting-edge music artists. He's very quick witted with his guests which makes all the difference. Max Weinburg and his band are some of the best musicians I've seen on a talk show, they play music everyone would know with their own style. This show is a work of art, I recommend it to NEone.
"Half of all Americans are now using the internet to get their news, but don't worry. Experts say that before you know it we'll all be back to usin the internet for it's primary purpose - downloading porn." ~Conan O'Brien
Jon Stewart: Stephen, so there's no reason for concern? Stephen Colbert: Well, there's some concern Jon. If you're in Toronto, you're in your 80's and you've had a history of repiratory problems, then yeah, I'd make my peace with the the Lord before I licked any door handles. But short of that, in Toronto - not much to worry about . . . or do for that matter. ~Stephen Colbert reporting about the SARS outbreak in Toronto
Malcolm in the Middle
FOX
![]() |
Malcolm in the Middle is about a boy, Malcolm, and his unusual family. Malcolm has a genius IQ and the show is seen through his eyes. But he's just a normal kid who likes skateboarding and messing around with his brothers. Lois & Hal are just trying to "hold on until the last one turns eighteen" admist the chaos of four growing boys: Francis, Reese, Malcolm, and Dewey . Malcolm's oldest & favorite brother Francis was sent away to military camp leaving him in the middle of Reese & Dewey. Reese is the not-so-smart of the four brothers and Dewey is the baby of the family . . . that is until Jamie, the newest member of the family. This show is absolutely inventive, funny, charismatic, and incredibly witty. All four brothers bring something to the show that makes if memorable. Check it out.
Malcolm: I did the math once; it turns out, every 17.4 dinners, my family actually has a pleasant meal together.
