Five Pillars of Islam
Belief that there is no one worthy of worship, apart
from Allah and Mohammed, peace be upon him is his prophet.
Pray five times a day - This purifyes the heart and controls
temptation towards wrong doing and evil.
Fasting is observed during the month of Ramadan.
This means absentation from food, drink & intimate marital
relationship from dawn to sunset, as well as from evil intentions.
Zakat - Payment annually of 2.5% of ones net savings as
a purifying sum to be spent on the poor and needy.
Pilgrimage to be performed once in a lifetime provided one has
means to do so.
People have preconceived misconceptions of my religion
and I wish they wouldn't critcise my faith by confusing it with
culture, greed and bad people, which exist in all socieities.
