| My grandfather, Arthur Horace Wise, came 3rd in the 1920 Melbourne Cup on 'Queen Comedy'. He also rode 'Queen Comedy' the following year but was unplaced. Racing mainly steeplechasers during a long racing career, many of my grandfather's newspaper cuttings and a trophy were stolen from his St Kilda flat in 1999. |
