1-9-07 Well let's see. SGWA shut down, re-opened and shutdown again. Let's play catch up since I haven't updated in over a year....Sorry about that. SGWA had the last show at R&R Sportsplex in Booneville, MS in April/May of last year. I was asked to help book at a new promotion that was going to open up about 10 miles down the road (the same guy promoted both shows and owned the ring SGWA was using). There was a lot of underhanded BS that went on between all involved in this and I'm not really going to get into all of it. My ex-tag partner who helped book said that they were closing for a bit because of the building problem at R&R and for me not to tell anyone. I didn't and here is the part that most people don't know about....I was asked 2 days later to help book JWS and I accepted. I asked my ex-tag partner about letting me take the books for a month to see what I could do because I wanted to see where I was at in the growing/learning process and to test my mettle. He blew it off onto the other 2 that were helping book in the sense that they run the show and we all know that you booking isn't going to happen. So I figured that he didn't have to know about me taking the booking job. That's all it would have taken for me to stay with SGWA was to let me test myself. Long story short JWS opened in July 2006 and SGWA started running again in August/September 2006 and then shutdown again November 2006 because of building issues (again). Will they run again? Who knows. Any hard feelings toward any of them from my end? No not really.....Only to those who decided to be the smaller of the 2 promotions and not lend us a helping hand when we helped them. Thanks for nothing but that's the past and life goes on. I felt like my side finally needed to be told in full. If I stepped on toes then so be it.....THIS IS MY SITE! I'll try to update this at least once a month from now on. Thanks to all my fans, friends, and family, and most of all to God above for allowing me to participate in the sport that I love so dear and the support that each have given. Next Wednesday I will have been in the sport for 4 years.....It still seems like yesterday and we'll save that for next time. |
