Keiran Jannz - Human Jedi Knight / Sith Lord

Keiran Jannz was one of the last of a dying tradition in the Jedi Order, the Jedi Tracker.  Keiran had a hard road as a Jedi due to his path as a Tracker.  Keiran had a tendancy to use his emotions a little too much, one of the downfalls of the Tracker, and was often reprimanded for his temper and many other Jedi saw him as not being fit to continue his training.  Despite this, Keiran was promoted to the rank of Knight due to his skill and prowess with both the Force and his lightsabers.  He wielded 2 sabers and was a master of the Jar'Kai form of Lightsaber combat. 

Keiran was selected to go on a mission to track down some Sith that had survived the last war.  It seemed that this group of Sith were searching the galaxy in an attempt to obtain more Rakatan artifacts and technology to use against the Republic and the Jedi.  On one world, they found a tree that was a conduit for the Living Force, and it picked Keiran to be one of it's champions, which while increasing his ability sense being through the Force, had also increased his sensitivity to the Dark Side (which would eventually assist in his downfall to the Dark Side).  After many encounters and a few battles, they finally found one of the Sith that they had been tracking: Keiran's old master Bol Terrik.  Terrik goaded Keiran into several fights and beat him severely every time.  During the last battle, Terrik was able to get Keiran to tap into the Dark Side, which Keiran used to kill Terrik in cold blood.  After this Keiran attempted to meditate to find his balance again.  During this time, another Sith Lord had taken an interest in him and through a series of deceptions tricked him into a trap where Keiran was injected with Sith Poison.  The poison caused Keiran to tap into the Dark Side even more until he was finally lost to it.  He then joined his new master and became the Sith Lord, Darth Vestis.  He attempted to fool his companions into thinking that he was still a Jedi but failed when he tried to kill them.  He was cut down by one of his companions, but not before he was able to tap into the Dark Side and use it to transfer his essence into a cloned body that had been prepared for him.  The clone body was enhanced using Sith Alchemy and this made Keiran even more deadly than before. He led Sith troops on raids against various Jedi training areas across the galaxy, always killing the Masters and Knights but leaving the Padawans.  The Sith hoped to eventually turn them all to the Dark Side and train them as Sith Warriors.  When he finally led an assault against the Jedi temple on Coruscant, he again came up against his old companions (who had since been joined by Jedi Master Eryk Tainer). The battle was long and furious, but in the end, Keiran was destroyed once again by his former companions. 

Unfortunately, Keiran's mission was mostly successful in that almost all of the Jedi Masters on the planet had been killed before he was stopped and the Jedi Council had been among them.

Eryk Tainer - Human Jedi Master

Eryk Tainer is a Corellian Jedi Master who lived 3900 years before the Empire existed.  He began his career in the Jedi Order as a fighter pilot and also spent time working with the Corellian Defense Force as a trainer.  It was during this time that Eryk met a young woman named Marea Suun.  Marea was a CorSec officer who was going through flight training and Eryk was her instructor.  They became good friends during this time and after she had completed her training they kept in touch and eventually fell in love and were married (which was still acceptable by the Corellian Jedi).  Soon after they were married, Eryk took an assignment as the Jedi liason to the Republic Military on Coruscant, spending much of his time training fighter pilots.  When the Second Sith War broke out, he took a commission in the Republic Military gaining the rank of Commander.  He coordinated the fighter squadrons and worked with Republic R&D to develop new fighters.  After the war, he remained on Coruscant and continued his work with the Military.  He and Marea would see each other from time to time, but both understood that they had their own work and responsibilities to take care of and just enjoyed the time they had together. 

Eryk was requested by the Jedi Council to join a group of Jedi that were working to stop a group of Sith from recovering Rakatan artifacts and technology to use against them.  He had also been asked to keep an eye on the Jedi leading the group as they were concerned that he may become another Revan and fall to the Dark Side.  As it turned out, their fears were unfounded but Eryk stayed with them and helped them by leading the Republic starfighter squadrons they had with them.  They spent the next few months going from world to world, somtimes beating the Sith to the artifacts, sometimes getting there too late.  One night while he slept, Eryk had a vision of Keiran as he went through the ritual before the Tree of the Living Force, and when it was done, he himself appeared before the Tree.  A voice spoke saying that he was needed to take Keiran's place since he has fallen to the Dark Side and defend the Living Force against Keiran.  Eryk agreed and after under going a Force-induced vision quest, he awoke to find himself changed: he now had wings and could fly.  Soon after this, they received a distress call from a nearby ship that was under attack by Sith fighters.  The ship was a CorSec vessel that was being piloted by Eryk's wife Marea.  They were able to save her from the Sith and brought her aboard their ship.  She was surprised by what Eryk had been through and the addition of his wings, but she said that she still loved him and would stand with him as always. She also had some surprising news for him: she was pregnant with their first child.   A few days later, they received another distress signal, this time from a nearby Jedi Training Center.  When they arrived, they found that almost all of the Masters and older Knights had been killed in a Sith Attack.  They soon learned that this was happening at other Jedi Training Centers as well.  After analyzing the attacks, they realized that they were heading to Coruscant itself.

The group arrived at Coruscant too late to stop the attack or save the Jedi Council (which had been the first group attacked).  Eryk and one of his fellow Jedi were able to track down the leader of the assault, Keiran Jannz (aka Darth Vestis), and stop him from killing the Republic Senate.  After a furious battle, Eryk was able to defeat Keiran and finally destroy him.  After the remaining Sith forces were defeated, they began the process of rebuilding.  Eryk found that he was the highest ranking Jedi Master left on Coruscant and so took on the title of Head of the Jedi Council and began the task of rebuilding the Council.  He felt it was time for him to settle down in one place and devote his time to rebuilding the Jedi and raising his family.  Eventually, he and Marea had 2 children, a boy and a girl, who grew up to be great Jedi in their own right.
