My Character:

Eryk is a Jedi Knight from Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy on Yavin 4.  When Eryk was a small child, he lived on Corellia but his eyes were always looking up at the stars.  When Eryk was 15, his  father died and his mother revealed a shocking secret to him; his family had a history of being Jedi Knights up until the time of the Empire.  Eryk's great-grandfather, Lorin Relloth had been a Jedi Master during the Clone Wars.  Lorin had sensed a threat looming in the galaxy and when the Empire came to power, he contacted Rostek Horn, a friend from his days of working with CorSec, and made arrangements to have his family hidden and their ties to the Jedi wiped away.  Eryk's mother gave him a token of that forgotten past; his great-grandfather's Jedi Credit; along with a small holographic imager.    The holo-imager had a message from Lorin saying that if there ever came a time when the Empire was gone and the Jedi restored, then they should take their place among them and to do this they would need to seek out Rostek Horn.  Eryk sought out Rostek and found that he had some of Lorin's things and notes.  One of the items was another holo-imager, but it had become damaged and did not work.  Rostek got in contact with his adopted grandson, Corran, and arranged for Eryk to leave Corellia and attend the Jedi Academy.

After several years of studying, Eryk became a Jedi Knight after protecting the Academy during the assault by the Shadow Academy and the Imperial Remnant.  Eryk stayed at the Academy to help repair the damage.  After a couple of more years, Eryk and 2 of his Jedi classmates, Kahuna and Jaquie, were able to pool together some money and buy their very own starship, The Stellar Tide.  It was a Citadel-Class transport that had 2 A-Wings as support fighters.  After returning to the Academy to show off their new ship to some friends, they were asked to transport a Bothan Senator to a small ExGal outpost on Belkadan for a tour.  When they arrived at Belkadan, the noticed some strange sensor readings from the planet.  They were then attacked by an asteroid looking craft that seemed to fire molten lava.  They were able to destroy it and escape to Dubrillion.  While there they became part of a task force heading to the planet, Helska.  There they battled against a fearsome new foe who to their shock could not be felt through the Force.  The aliens were defeated.....or so it seemed. 

Eryk and friends transported the Bothan Senator back to Coruscant.  While on the planet, they foiled an assassination attempt (on them), discovered a hidden cache of Jedi artifacts and Eryk was arrested for murder (they discovered that he had been framed).   The person that framed him was Azrakel, a Dark Side Warrior who had been trained by the Emperor as an assassin.  He was looking for a way to get into a hidden vault on Coruscant that contained several Jedi artifacts, and as it turns out, one of the possible keys to the vault is Eryk's Jedi Credit (his grandfather had been one of the vaults keepers).  Eryk and his friends were able to thwart Azrakel's plans and were even able to use the energy of the Light-Side to cleanse the dark warrior.  After he recovered, Azrakel pledged himself to Eryk and asked him to train him as a proper Jedi.  Eryk was not sure if he was ready for this kind of responsibility, but it certainly seemed that this was the will of the Force and so he accepted.  They learned from Azrakel that Kadann, once the High Prophet of the Emperor but now a petty warlord, was still at large and they decided to find him and bring him to justice.  After some time they were able to track down Kadann and deliver him to the Jedi on Yavin 4 for judgment.  Kadann was stripped of his Force powers and was to be turned over to the New Republic for trial.  Kadann convinced Eryk to maroon him on a deserted planet, in exchange for the access codes to several secret accounts that the Emperor had setup before his death.  Eryk knew that the senate had become corrupt and would have used Kadann to get the money in the secret accounts.  Eryk accepted his offer and set him down on the deserted planet of Myrkyr.  When they arrived on Coruscant, Eryk told the Senate that Kadann had passed away enroute.

Eryk took the money that Kadann gave him access to (which numbered into the billions of credits) and began using it to fund various galactic charities as well as to help the Jedi.  He also used some of it to fund the construction of a new space transport for him and his Jedi friends to get around in.  He contacted the Corellian Engineering Corp and with their help designed a custom starship that would be a vast improvement over The Stellar Tide, including improved shields, stronger hull and more powerful weapons.  The ship took 4 months to complete but when it was done, the Sabre's Shadow was born.  While the the ship was being constructed, Eryk and friends dealt with another attack by the strange aliens that they had faced at Belkadan and learned that they aliens were looking to take over the galaxy to be their new home.

Currently, Eryk and his friends are helping Lowbacca and some other Jedi on Kashyyk to repel the Yuuzhan Vong there.
