| 1. How do you define your sound? Joe: I don't know, I suppose we take a lot of stuff from old bands sometimes, because we were influenced by Pink Floyd, and a bit more of that kind of 'beautiful' element, and we try to mix it with some stuff that's like a bit more upbeat, a bit more aggressive and a bit more emotional in a different sense. Dave: Yeah we like to cross over genres, like do some rock, do some metal, do some instrumental stuff, and I would say that we were emotional rock, but not emo, but mostly just melodic. Simon: It's just fucking rock innit, you know what I mean. Some people might say it's metal, some may say it's rock, some grunge, but all we want to do is just go out on stage and fucking blast it out innit! *Everyone laughs* 2. What's your reaction to the mass interest in the new 'Faster the Chase' single? Dave: Yeah it's great, it's just awesome to be back for us, we've made an album we're really proud of, and it's good to put a little preview of it out there and kind of have that reaction that people are still into us, then go out and have a good time, it's just really nice to be back. 3. Why did you choose to have a pig as the artwork for the new single? Dave: The song is about obsession and how someone can make the obsession kind of a bit selfish, of another person, or they're thinking too much about themselves, and the pig symbolizes the greed, and it's a cool image as well and just really striking. Joe: We wanted something that symbolized what the song was about generally, and it seemed to fit the bill. 4. Are there any new instrument techniques that you have added to the new album? Joe: Yeah loads! Dave: Yeah there's finger tapping. Joe: There is so many new things for us on this album that we have gone for, and the thing about the new album is that it's a lot more focused. On the balls-out songs and the heavy songs we have really gone for it. And in some of the songs we have really let ourselves go in the melodic sense. Dave: We've just opened out our horizons so to speak, and kind of like, if we want to put keyboards down, we will, and strings and stuff, and then they will go on the songs. And we have really worked hard on this album, there is a lot of stuff that people wont expect from us. Simon: There are a lot of hidden secrets in there, that you will hear sometimes, and it will take a few listens to really get it all. 5. How will your upcoming album differ to 'Overgrown Eden'? Dave: It shows where we are now I guess, I mean 'Overgrown Eden' is a good representation of how we grew up, and where we were at the time, but we have really moved forward. There's more scope to this album, there's a lot of different moods through out it, and there's more of a fuller circle. Joe: On the first album we were very obsessed with making sure that it was a sound that represented us live, and represented that we were a rock band. I think sometimes you can get so caught up with trying to keep, in inverted commas "the integrity of a record" that you just kind of sometimes loose the fact that something can sound great, and we're still a rock band through and through. Dave: It's a lot more ambitious in every respect. Joe: I suppose it's more how we would like to be heard, Isn't it? Dave: Yeah. 6. Whose idea was it to add thongs to the merchandise table? Dave: Er I think we all kind of just thought of it, and I mentioned it to our management and they emailed me back 'Are you having a laugh?' and I was like'no, people will buy thongs'. Joe: People like to wear thongs. Dave: So they said they would give it a go. Joe: Everyone reading this interview, if you have any ideas for merchandise, email us, especially things like thongs. Dave: There's nothing wrong with seeing ladies wear your own brand of underwear. Joe: Can anyone argue with a thong with InMe written on it. *Laughs* Random person: You could try hotpants! *Everyone laughs* Simon: Hotpants are sick man! Dave: We could have our own underwear selection. *Laughs again* 7. What is the weirdest thing a fan has ever said or done to you? Joe: Erm I think tattoos as it's like permanent scaring. Dave: It's really nice that they respect our music that much, I mean we haven't even got 'InMe' tattoos ourselves. It sometimes makes you realize what music does to other people, it's kind of special in a sense, as long as they dont regret it. Joe: But on the funnier side of things, we have had stuff like dildos to sign, *Everyone laughs* and people asking us to sign every body part imaginable. Simon: People have asked me to spit in there face before. Joe: In Japan they will do crazy stuff like jumping into cabs behind us and doing that 'follow that cab business' *everyone laughs*, but yeah there are mad ones everywhere you go. Dave: It's good to meet very crazy people. Joe: What eccentric. 8. If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? Simon: John Bonham, I'd ask him how he does half the stuff he does. I've learnt lots of stuff off him. Dave: Err(long pause). I'd love to meetKing Henry the 8th would be interesting! Simon: He's the man! Dave: I don't really know, just because he is so far back in history, and I think that it would be interesting to see what people were like back then, especially him because he was a nutter. *Everyone laughs*. Simon: He was a one with the ladies, so you could learn some stuff off him. *Laughs again* Joe: Well I might as well just meet one of his wives. *Laughs again*. Dave: He would kill you. Joe: Watch out for that one. Simon: Oh he's dangerous, don't marry him. Dave: I have no idea why I just chose Henry the 8th!
