| Enough of hobbits for now - here are some piccies of the 'Atani' (blokes to you and me!!). |
| Seeing as though the Elves have more or less buggered off the Men are now the biggest fish in the middle earth pond. On the left you can see Rohan which is one of their big places though the BIG one is, of course, Gondor. The kings of Gondor are all descended from the Numenorians (big ppl who used to live on an island and were really powerful but became kinda silly and eventually the whole island sank and the leftover people came to middle earth). A fair few Men live scattered about in small villages or wandering about but most live in one of these two realms. |

| Hobbits are a small people who live in a place called the Shire (see map on portal page). Hobbits wear a lot of green and yellow and enjoy their food and drink!! As a rule Hobbits prefer to stay at home rather than go off on adventures (except the Baginses but we all know about them don't we!:)) but in the past, when called on to fight, they're very good archers and can move very quietly and unnoticed when they have to! They live in little hobbit holes which are very comfy and well decorated - you can see some in the pic at the top!! |
