Dedicated to Shawn: This poem is dedicated to a
lady who takes my breath away. I can almost feel her in the
room even before I can see her. She has that magic around
her that makes my heart pound and my head spin. Thinking of you

I remember well the first time that my eyes beheld you
My knees melted right under me, and I knew
You were a goddess of incredible beauty and grace
A most heavenly creature with a smile on your face

I was so taken that I could not move or look away
My dependable feet had failed me and turned to clay
My mind usually quick and alert was nothing but mush
I almost knelt to the goddess but all I could do was blush

How do I worship a goddess that shines so bright
I am but a mere mortal man unworthy of your light
So I stand in the shadows and watch you in awe
It is so much fun to see you walk without a flaw

I shook my head to try to clear it and think straight
What was it about you that makes you so great?
Oh my god, you do have legs a man would die for
Legs with magic in each step, legs that I adore

I think that I could sit and watch you all day long
Yet it goes beyond your legs, you can do no wrong
You look so good in your sweater and make me smile
Well everything that you do, you do it with style

But you know sweetie beyond your killer body and all
There is something that drives me right up the wall
When you bat those eyelashes you are a delight
My insides flip over but I pretend everything is alright

You were so beautiful that I knew I could never talk
I could never tell you how lovely you are when you walk
Your league was so far above me that I could only peek
But I could remember your sexy body smooth and sleek

Then one day, I decided to let you know what I felt
I pulled my pants up and made sure to tighten my belt
"You are so beautiful" I said and let my words soak
"You made my day" I heard and was glad I had spoke
