A New Beginning For Cythnia
Chapter 5
By Cythnia

The next morning, Cynthia arose very early. She stopped at the living room door, admiring how sweet Mitchell looked as he slept. She daydreamed what it would be like to be held in his arms. She was snapped back to reality when she heard a voice.

"Good Morning my lady".

He had awoken and was now sitting up looking at her.

"Uh, good morning to you too." she replied sheepishly.

She wondered how long she was standing there gazing at him with him fully awake and aware of it.

She began to blush.

"Whats wrong my lady?"

He smiled his devilish grin.

"Oh, nothing, nothing at all", she replied

She was feeling even more foolish now.

"My lady certainly looks like an angel in the morning sunlight"

He was using his usual charm again. He knew how it made her heart melt for him.

"Well, thank you. I have been busy packing so we can leave as early as possible.

Maybe we can find a decent camp site if we get there early enough".

"Okay, no problem. Tell me what I can do to help you then?" he asked.

He was chuckling to himself at the thought of how he knew he got to her.

"I have most of what we need packed and sitting by the door. It would be great if you could get that out in the trunk of my car." she replied.

"Sure, no problem."

He jumped up off the couch and headed for the door. She couldnt help but notice his fine physique. He had slept in his boxers. Wow, he was really something else! She tried hard now to conceal the grin on her face.

They packed until they had everything they needed. Then they set out for White Swan Lake.

When they arrived, Mitchell could not believe his eyes. The lake was bluer than anything he had ever seen. The sand on the beach was purple in color. Everyone around the area called the beach, Purple Sand Beach. Some say it was because of the garnet in the rocks that the sand turned this beautiful shade of purple. They lucked out and got a very secluded site, completely surrounded by trees.

They spent the next couple of hours setting up camp and getting things organized. Cynthia thought to herself how wonderful this all was. It seemed like they had known each other for years. They worked so well together. By the time they got camp set up it was already late afternoon. They decided it would be nice to take some food down to the beach and cook for themselves down there.

When they arrived at the beach there were very few people around. They wandered down the beach together to an area that was secluded yet had a great view of the lake. Mitchell built a campfire, while Cynthia readied the food for cooking.

They ate together, making small chit chat, while staring out on the lake. The loons were calling as the sun began to set. The breeze was making the trees dance slowly and the waves provided their music as they met the shore. They sat together gazing across the lake, watching the sun set with its colors dancing across the water. The sky was now beautiful shades of pink, purple and blue. Neither of them had seen anything quite so breathtaking. They sat in silence together in awe of the beauty around them.

A sudden noise in the bushes behind them, jolted them back to reality. They both stood up. Out of the bushes strolled the most beautiful creature either of them had ever seen. It was a mama deer. She hesitated when she saw them. They had been sitting so quiet she had ventured out into full view with her baby not far behind her. Mitchell whispered to Cynthia not to move a muscle. They stood there together, as still as they could watching the beauty of these two wonderful creatures. They moved with such grace! They stood watching them, as they nibbled on the shubbery around them. The baby fawn was obviously a newborn. It still had its spots. All of a sudden, Mitchell coughed. This startled them and they disappeared back into the bushes as quickly as they had come.

By this time, the sun had almost set. It was growing darker now. Mitchell stoked up the campfire. It was getting a little cooler now with the sun leaving the day. They settled in together to watch the flames of the fire dance. In the distance they could hear the faint sound of a boat motor.

"It would be to take a ride together on the lake tomorrow." suggested Mitchell.

"I think that would be wonderful," Cynthia agreed.

As he said this, he moved closer to her. He gently slid his arm around her. Cynthia was so nervous now. This guy was better than her wildest dreams! She thought to herself, if I am dreaming, please, no one wake me up. There they sat cuddled together, waiting for the stars to appear.

The darkness had set in now. It seemed like they were the only two people left in the world.

Mitchell got up and laid out a blanket for them.

"So, my lady, care to join me in a little star gazing?" he asked.

"Sure, how did you know I love to watch the stars?"

She was feeling so warm and cozy inside now. This guy was terrific!

"I figure a lady as beautiful as you would love to gaze at beautiful things." he replied.

He was smiling with that devilish grin of his again. God, how she loved that smile!

They snuggled in together on that blanket. Cynthia loved the way his arms felt around her. They made her feel so safe, so warm and so very secure. Then Mitchell leaned over her and was looking into her eyes. He loved the soft glow of the moonlight now and the way the reflection of the fire danced in her eyes. The mood was right. He leaned down now and kissed her. She met his kiss with great eagerness. His lips on hers felt so soft and gentle. She could feel his breathing getting heavier now. Her heart was pounding, almost keeping beat with the rhythm of the waves lapping against the shore now. The rest of the night was spent exploring each others bodies and making love in that private world of their own.

As the dawn broke, both Mitchell and Cynthia laid there together still secure in this world of comfort they had created together. The sun was shining now, but its glimmer could never compare to the glimmer in their hearts. For they knew now, what true love was all about. They had become soul mates, forever.

The End
