| it began with a vision, a voice, & a poet. the year was 2000, the drawing of a new millennium - it was the season of anti-reason & the fall of equinox has just begun. together with the philosopher xenophon, an alliance was formed, deep in the chaotic kingdom of the west, that would secure the rising of a new empire of sound. secrect rites were held, experiments in mental alchemy & wurd socrery was introduced -- & soon 3 muscial magi - rob, moke, eViL j - hurd the holy wurd & devoted their gifts to the sacred circle -- the eternal serpent once agian slithered from the void, emptied its mouth of venom, & swallowed its furious tail. the collective called OTEP was finally given life... their first mission was to conquer the city-state of los angeles - and conquer they did. earning a spot on ozzfest 2001 without a record deal - they then signed to a major label without a demo - achieving this strictly from the power, passion, & brutality of their live show. in september 2001, they wrote their debut album SEVAS TRA - in october 2001, they recorded the album with famed producer Terry Date in seattle, wa - in november 2001, they returned to los angeles to begin perfecting their warcraft for the impending worldwide infection. their philosophy is "solve et coagula"....destroy to create.... |
