Quotes
This year, in my English class, my teacher has been making us read books called Walden and right now err...can't remember what its called but its by Walt Whitman.  Very inspiring and emotionally strong books, very much into their beliefs.  I liked them so much, I've decided to put up some quotes I liked from both books.  Enjoy.  I might also add other quotes I like.
"Not an inch nor particle of an inch is vile, and none shall be less familiar than the rest."

"Cleer and sweet is my soul....and clear and sweet is all that is not my soul."

"All goes onward and outward...and nothing collapses."

"I also say it is good to fall.... battles are lost in the same spirit in which they are won."

"Do you take it I would astonish?
Does the daylight astonish? Or the early redstart twittering through the woods?
Do I astonish more than they?"

"This hour I tell things in confidence,
I might not tell everybody but I will tell you."

"I exist as I am, that is enough,
If no other in the world be aware I sit content,
And if each and all be aware I sit content."

"I am the poet of the woman the same as the man,
And I say it is as great to be a woman as to be a man,
And I say there is nothing greater than the mother of men."

"Evil propels me, and reform of evil propels me.... I stand indifferent."

"Walt Whitman, an American, one of the roughs, a kosmos,
Disorderly fleshy and sensual...,eating drinking and breeding,
No sentimentalist....no stander above men and women or apart from them....no more modest than immodest."

"Through me forbidden voices,
Voices of sexes and lusts....voices veiled, and I remove the veil,
Voes indecent by me clarified and transfigured."
