Gold Fish And Koi
Koi are all Descendants of a type of carp called Maoi. Goldfish are acually a distant relitive of thiers, and not directly related.

I have one large Goldfish, and then some small feeders. The large one is just plain gold, and the small ones are assorted, and change time to time as i feed some of them to the axolotls, and get gew ones.. I have one small one which is a grey/silver coloration like a river fish.

Plain goldfish can live in unheated water, however these more exotic types do need heated water. One exception is my favorite, the Black Moor.  I seem to have bad luck with those for some reason.

Currentally I have 5 koi, a large goldfish, 4 or 5 feedera, and a violet Goby.  The biggest koi is white with gold on his back, then the next largest is pure white, then one that is pure black and one that is gold w/ black metallic dusitng on his back, and my smallest one is yellow and black, he has a spinal deformation, but swims just fine.
I did not include much on caring for these fish, simply because most who would care to look at this page probably already know the basics that I can deliver. Besides.. its goldfish.. feed them, dont feed them too much, and I recommend using filtered tank, not a freaking bowl.
