| BARRY LONG JETS INFO: Joined the Jets the first time after being traded from the Oilers for future considerations in October of 76. Named to WHA second team ALl-Star in 1978. Was reclaimed by Detroit when the Jets joined the NHL. Was traded back to the Jets from Detroit for Cash in the fall of 1980. Served as Jets captain. injuries forced him to retire after only 5 games into the 81-82 season. Returned to the team as head coach, replacing Tom Watt in 83-84. Guided the team to a 43-27-10 season in 84-85 and was replaced by John Ferguson after winning only 19 of it's first 66 games the next season.
