Founded in 1991 by Wild Bill Eggleston, Chief Cook and Fur Trapper, The Devils River Mountain Men have come out of the hills once a year for the sole purpose of setting up camp at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo World Championship Barbecue Cookoff. With NINE trophies and THIRTEEN titles to date, The Mountain Men are the most decorated barbecue team never to have won a single award for our cooking. Oh yeah, and don't forget, we were the WORLD CHAMPION recycling team for 2001. Having survived our double-secret probation for "inciting nudity" at the 2002 cook-off, we intend to have an unprecedented 3-trophy year this year.
