Front Unit

Building the Front Assembly

The front assembly proved to be slightly more complicated. First off, I did a big no-no. I used my Tamiya blue blocks with this conversion. The problem with this is that I actually had to shave the pin on the end of the dog bone to get it to fit inside the bearing. This reduced the dog bones structural integrity. Don't mess with your bones!

Secondly, I not only had to fabricate new tie-rods, but new steering links as well. I did not remove the one-way differential in front, as this would act as a locking differential on slick surfaces.
