Dragos Meatmaster Sheep

Meatmasters must be the one breed, bred with only one thing in mind and that is profitability.
At this stage most Meatmasters are developed by crossing Damaras with Dorpers with the White Dorper cross probably giving the best result. Damaras crossed with any other breed however is acceptable. I currently are running supposed Damara/Dorper ewes with a pure Damara Ram I say supposed Damara/dorper ewes because they aren't really up to standard for that cross so I assume they really aren't that. We are currently running 1 Texel ewe and hope to introduce a black faced Suffolk to our breeding program and are very excited to see what they produce to our Damara Ram. No matter what way you intend breeding your Meatmasters, it is vitally important to at all times bear in mind the breed standards as these will have to be adhered to strictly as they form the basis for the breed. The Meatmaster sets the breed standard and how you intend to achieve it as a breeder is up to you.
The Meatmaster is a very low maintenance sheep with no shearing, tail cutting, minimum dosing, inoculation and dipping. Lambs that will reach a slaughter mass of 15-25kg as soon as possible. Our ewe and wether lambs reach a minimum of a 15kg dressed carcass weight at 3months. We are currently looking to add other bloodlines to improve on this.
We are currently retaining most all of our ewe lambs to improve our breeding stock we do sell lambs to fill specific orders. Ram lambs are available by order only but orders must be placed as most rams are wethered at approx 2-4weeks. Some adult ewe/ram stock available occasionally.
Current pictures of our breeding stock coming soon. Lambs arriving now!
Place orders now to avoid disappointment.
