His Early Years Al'anan Vor was born on star date 23973.4 on the planet of Romulus. He lived in a small settlement on the northern continent until he was five, when his father was accepted as an operative of the Tal Shiar. Himself, his father Kreetak, and his mother Cha'kat transfered to the capital on Romulus where his father imposed strict rules on Al'anan's life. Kreetak being a very patriotic Romulan transferred these values on to his son hoping he would also join the Tal Shiar and serve the empire. Al'anan excelled academically and physically through his early years of training on Romulus, so much that the Praetor at the time personally told his father that she would make sure he would be accepted in to the Tal Shiar at the age of eighteen.
A Loyal Citizen of the Empire At the age of thirteen Al'anan's father was falsely accused of attempting to assassinate a senator by the name of T'a'nerl. Fearing certain death, Kreetak went in to hiding only telling his son where he was planning to live out his remaining years in exile. Al'anan informed the head of the Tal Shiar this location because he was a loyal Romulan citizen and wanted to serve the empire. In fact this was a test created by Al'anan's father and the head of the Tal Shiar to see if he actually posessed the qualities that a Tal Shiar officer required. After this occurred he was quickly admitted to the Tal Shiar and rushed through rigorous training. He came in to a position of power and review classified information day by day.
A Hero Undercover After the month passed, Al'anan began to start going on dangerous under cover missions for the empire. He operated on worlds ranging from Earth to Carrdassia. After serving five years, He was ordered to assassinate a Vulcan Ambassador named Sig'l and then rendezvous with a Excelsior class star ship named the Herodotus and impersonate Ambassador Sig'l to find out secret Federation access codes to restricted files. But Al'anan was revealed to the crew of the Herodotus and was immediately transported to the brig. He gave back all the access codes he stole and claimed that he was a defector. Al'anan was transferred to Star Fleet Command and he went through months of interrogations to find out if was telling the truth or if he was a Romulan agent. After suffering much violence and brutality it was eventfully accepted that he was telling the truth. After ten years on earth Al'anan made it known that he wished to obtain a commission in Starfleet. He was accepted in to Star Fleet Academy. But Al'anan was in fact not a defector, his true mission was to gain the trust of the Federation, no matter how many years it took and to report on the inner workings of Starfleet. At the academy Al'anan faced many hardships. A security guard followed him everywhere he went, and the instructors were very hard on him also. This made it quite difficult for him to send informaion back to his home world, but he always found a way. He had no friends and was continually ridiculed, but this did not matter for he was serving his empire and people. Al'anan's true talent was found to be in piloting a starship. Using his knowledge of piloting D'deridex class war birds and what he learned at the academy, he finally impressed his piers and instructors. He earned the rank of Ensign and was assigned to a desk job at Star Fleet Command. Al'anan's piers and instructors tried to get him a better position as a pilot on a star ship, but too many ignorant Admirals said that a Romulan could not be trusted to pilot a star ship. An explosion occurred at Star Fleet command caused by Klingon terrorists the following month could have caused many deaths but Al'anan stopped the Klingons and treated the people that had been harmed. He earned the rank of Second lieutenant and was posted as chief helm officer on a star ship. Al'anan held this position for eight years and fed much secret information back to Romulus. Al'anan eventually was rotated back to Romulus secretly by means of a cloaked warbird. Only a truly brave and couragerous Romulan could have survived such an assignment and he is an example we should all look up to.
A Revoluntary After a few years back on the mother world Al'aan began to realize that the current system was holding Romulus back. The government was organized under a single Prateur who had been continuing the perpetuation of a neocapitalist economy. Under this system Romulan glory and prestige were harmed due to the fact that the Prateur, Gdzic'zon and many Romulan officials cared more for making profit then for the glory of the empire. Many Romulans suffered and died as a result of this. Most social services and been privatized and only the most wealthy could afford them. Famine and plague were widespread. Moderate estimates suggest upwards of one hundred million Romulans died due to the greed of Emperor Gdzic'zon. Gdzic'zon had turned his back on every thing that the empire had been founded on, he even created an alliance with the pathetic Federation of Planets. This alliance represented the downfall of the empire and socialism.
The Federation The federation is a hypocritical institution that has brought was and harm. It claims to believe in peace, but will ally itself with dictatoships and violence to complete its goals, and it will discard its ideals as a situation warrents. The Federation brought the Dominion war on to our quadrant, through its expanisionry actions in the Gamma quadrant. The Dominion war resulted in the death of countless Romulan soldiers and has left our economy in ruins. After the declassification of some documents it was revealed that the Federation murdered a Romulan senator in cold blood to bring our empire in to their war, what of their vaunted ideals? While the death of a single person is nothing to worry about, this tells us the federation could not be trusted. Amoung other things the federation also helped start the recent revolt on Remus. This led to the death of a number of important senators and many loyal Romulans. It must be claer that the Federation will stop at nothing to destroy our empire. And as Gdzic'zon had cared for nothing but profit, he had let the empire begin to crumble, which is why the Dominion war had such a disatorus effect on us. As the entire system broke down people revolted and violent repression occured on a massive scale. Many wanted a socialist system, like the one Nar'an had created to be put in place. Romulans wanted a system that was based on the good of the people and the empire. After all if one suffers as a result of the government, the glory of the empire is harmed. The emperor had harmed the state of the empire and it was the duty of every loyal Romulan to eliminate this harm. Al'anan with the support of the senate, military, and the Tal Shiar proceeded to create the Popular Front for the Liberation of the Romulan Empire or PFLRE. Using his inlfluence Al'anan created a space fleet and guillerra land army. Through brilliant leadership through a war that lasted two years Al'anan was able to defeat the old guard who had corrupted the empire and declared himself Praetor. The war was short as Gdzic'zon lacked any real support. This victory was met with cheers throughout the empire.
The Glorious Future Many loyal Romulans have given their lives in the service of the Empire. Their deaths have not been in vain. As Prator of the empire Al'anan's set out to reform every corrupt aspect of it. He has largely been successful as our economy, military, and culture show great signs of revivial. No aspect of society will remain untouched and all will be improved! With Al'anan at the helm of this great socialist union we can rest easy now with the knowledge that the Romulan Socialist Union will last forever and encounter much glory in the future. We must make sure that we thank him each and every day for the sacrifices he has made for us. Long live Al'anan Vor!
