The entrance boasts a busy modern container port on a reclaimed mangrove swam. The bridge spanning the river carries the Pacific Highway past the city rim and links the Gold and Sunshine coasts. The river continues another 10 miles upstream to the heart of Brisbane, where yachts are able to anchor or tie up to pile moorings off the Botanic Gardens. We spent several nights here becoming aclimatised to Aussie customs, got our accents back and spent dreamy hours wandering up and down the aisles at Woolies gazing at the produce!
