| Shaggy | ||||||||||||
| Shaggy is a horse we rescued from the Flemingsburg stockyard on May 13, 2005. Her winter hair was caked with dirt & manure, plus it was mated. Over all, She was shaggy looking (hence her name). She had had very little if any handling or had been abused. She was also a good 400lbs under weight. UPDATE: As of September 5, 2006 Shaggy has made a world of progress. She is halter broke & leads well, has worked her way up to full pasture privlages, allowed us to touch her, gotten rid of her shaggy coat (revealing a lovely sorrel coat with roan though out), and she has slowly been gaining her weight back. |
