Bio
Bob is an experienced, internationally award winning film director.  His expertise includes live-action dramatic network television, commercial, and long-format corporate production.  His particular ability is drawing truthful performances from actors as well as  real people.  He combines this skill with a through knowledge of filmmaking, which communicates to the audience through dialogue, character and visual continuity.

Bobs background has been diverse but focused.  He graduated from Emerson Collage with a double major in Business and Industrial Communication and Mass Communication.  He began his career in broadcast television in 1979 by developing, producing and directing a variety of live news and talk shows in Boston Massachusetts.  Three years later, Brown moved into advertising production at WBZ-TV, where he wrote, produced, directed and edited nearly one-thousand commercials, promotions and non-broadcast, long form projects.  During this time, he was able to focus on the precise discipline of short, thirty-second messages designed to create lasting impressions.  He studied and pursued marketing and positioning trends for many clients and helped develop successful campaigns for WBZ-TV and many other clients.   In 1988, Brown joined Light Video Television, and for the next year wrote and directed longer form, informational home release videotapes.

In February of 1990, Brown founded MorningStar Productions, a creative shop designed to bring together creative talents and produce communication excellence through superior writing, clear messaging, and dramatic, visual storytelling.  In 1995, Brown merged his successful company with RedTree Productions, a like-minded commercial powerhouse.  Together they continued to create the highest quality material for network television, fortune 500 companies and commercial ad agencies around the world.

With the emergence of the World Wide Web, Brown sensed a shift in mass communication and information distribution.  So, in 1997, he signed on as a creative director with Cramer Productions, a full service communications company offering video, web design, interactive media, and live event production.  During his tenure, Cramer grew to being ranked in the top 100 most successful independent production companies in the world.

During the summer of 2001, Bob was asked to return to network television.   He left Cramer, accepting the Supervising Producer role on LOST, a prime time reality show for NBC.

During his career, Browns work has been nationally and internationally recognized for his work ranging from national and regional festivals: such as the CINI Golden Eagle Award to the coveted Cannes Lion.
