I have been blessed with some very unique children....some with multiple disabilities.  As a parent looking on the web for that 'magic' answer, I found the most useful information came from parents and other who share commonalities in their day to day living with these challenges.  I hope to continue to provide information as my kids move through the early years into their now TEEN years.  I am NOT a Dr, nor do I claim that any information found on my website to be medical advice.    The information I share is of a personal nature.....my vision is to help others in their journey through similar situations.   Each of us have a journey, each is different....how that plays within our lives is a story in its own.    I'm hoping that through the exchange of information and stories that I can help another person, parent, sibling etc come to find that so many out there have the same path.   A path of discovery.

Child Garden is a site I found while looking for durable equipment for my youngest son.  We spent hours doing home activities as part of his sensory integration work.   Mary (owner) is a Nurse...having her own input into the quality and safety of their products.  *Catalog Available*
A company that sells Wigit Software and other Augmentive & Alternative Communication Products.   We used PECS for a while with my youngest son but eventually his language skills increased and we dropped using them.   I post this link due to the fact that so many individuals with ASD have the need for finding ways to communicate.   *Catalog Available*

Whether you are just learning about the world of Autism or you are investigating the diagnosis of 'Asperger's Syndrome'...this is the MAN when in comes to understanding the spectrum in my book.   If there's an article out there with his name on it....I'm reading it! :)  I find his style easy to understand (maybe it's just me) and his suggestions and strategies extremely useful for everyday use.   Check out his profile and articles on his website here.
SI Magazine
A magazine dedicated to better understanding Sensory Integration.   Also, on the main page there are books, equipment etc that you can purchase.   I have a copy of Carol S. Kranowitz's book,  "The Out-of-Sync Child".....after reading this book I came to understand my sons much better.   Sensory Dysfuncion can profoundly affect daily lives....understanding its affects and getting proper treatment has made all the difference for my 2 guys (even for Mom's issues!)   *Magazine Subscription*
