Jumping Crocs
Hadn't seen a crocodillo, so when Terry Fewell and Cecily joined us from Sydney for a few days, we took a day trip to see the jumping Crocodiles on the Adelaide River, and bathed in some waterfalls in the Litchfield National Park.

There are said to be about 40 crocodiles in the 2km stretch of river we covered in a small ferry, and during the trip 6 approached the boat and were enticed out of the water by one of the crew dangling meat from the top deck.

It was pretty incredible to see them stalk their prey, then raise themselves high enough from a standing start, to grab it.

This one is about 4 metres long.

The one in the car park preferred Duck
The falls were cool and clear with great natural spars in the rapids between.
Well worth a visit if you're in that part of the world.
We had a great day and enjoyed the land-based activities and being 100kms from the ocean!
