Darwin is a great party place, no excuse needed.
Here we've just watched the first of the three leg Rugby Union series, the Wallabies versus the British and Irish Lions, which the Wallabies lost! It also happened to be Duck's birthday. Thank goodness Queensland won the State of Origin, or he'd have slashed his wrists! You will gather from the photo there were some pretty unbearable POMs rubbing our noses in it. We got our own back a couple of weeks later. GO YOU GOOD THINGS.
The host yacht is an Adams 54 called Southerly Change owned by Sydney couple Dennis and Barbara [on the left] She was built at Selmins Boatyard, Botany Bay and used to be called Honey Hush. We anchored next to her during Australia Day celebrations at Darling Harbour 2 years ago! Believe it or not, the lady on the right comes from Torrington in North Devon, and went to school at Stella Maris Convent the same time as Jude. They had some serious catching up to do! It's a small world!!!

Duck's brother Geoff has recently moved to Darwin, so Duck has seen more of him and his wife Andy this month than he had in the past 20 years! For this occassion, Duck "dressed" for dinner. They've been great, driving us around in air-conditioned luxury, introducing us to the markets and doing all the sight-seeing things.

All this socialising has meant plenty of trips to the grog shop and many loads like this one finding their way back to Bayview!
