Lady Musgrave / Capricorn Crossing
Reached Lady Musgrave Island at dawn on a high tide after a great night's sail marred only by one incident where Jude had to grab the helm from Alistair [autohelm] to avoid some strobe lights which we suspect were some kind of fish traps!
Lady Musgrave was our first coral atoll and it was strange having to manouver through the very narrow channel in the coral reef,  when the surface was unbroken! Jude stood on the bow with polaroids directing Duck around stray bommies, luckily the water is beautifully clear.
We had the place to ourselves apart from a 4 ft reef shark which adopted us, and put paid to Ducks plans of checking Destiny's bum!
Mallard was soon launched and the island promptly circumnavigated on foot. Duck was NOT impressed, and has re-named it Bird Poo Island! Snorkelling was a bit disappointing, so moved on next morning on the dawn high tide.

We had Lady Musgrave Island to ourselves
Great sailing from Lady Musgrave to Great Keppel Island, starting with an escort ot F1/11s from the bird world! A "flight" of about a dozen noddy terns decided to try landing on our solar panel, aborting at the last moment. It was hilarious!!

We crossed the tropic of Capricorn at 9.15pm, and couldn't resist a bit of fun!
I bet you don't recognise these two idiots!!
