| A few months ago, we received some terrible news from the doctors. My wife would not be able to conceive a child on her own. For over three long years, we have been trying to have a baby. Several months ago, we were referred to a specialist, which ran some tests. My wife had to go through a small operation called a Laparotomy. A couple of hours after the operation, the doctor walked in to deliver the results from the operation. One of her fallopian tubes was blocked and the other side was covered by scar tissue. Due to a condition known as endometriosis. So the only hope of fulfilling our dream is through In Vitro Fertilization. This is costly, but if we have it done wile we are in Germany we can save thousands of dollars. In the states it cost between $10,000.00 and $25,000.00, and here in Germany it cost under $4,000.00 per try. We are trying to save the money up before I get restationed back in the states. The only other way to go is to adopt a child. We have have looked into some adoption programs but are even more costly. |
