What's it about?
Initial D is all about street racing. During the night, all kinds of racers gather at the mountain pass to tackle the course. One night, a top notch racing team called the Red Suns came about to the town Akina to challenge the fastest local racer. On the night of the battle, the legendary Hachi Roku (japanese for 86, and old light-weight car) appeared at the last minute and to everyone's suprize, an 18 year old boy was driving the car. His name was Takumi, and ordinary high school student. After the race, Takumi's brilliance spread like wildfire all over the region. Now all kinds of recers are seeking to defeat Takumi and his virtually unbeatable Hachi Roku.
