Memorial Comment:
Born in New York City while her mother was visiting relatives. She was taken back to Italy at 8 months and raised in Pianella Pescare in Abruzzi. She was brought back to America when she was around 11 and was raised by cousins, aunts, and uncles in Hell's Kitchen/Little Italy, New York. She learned the domestics of life, but especially the art of sewing. She worked herself up to sample maker, in a local sweatshop, by the time she was a teen. She carried that profession throughout her life. She devoted herself to her husband, her children, and her family, many of which were/are still in Italy.
She remained brave until the end, battling cancer for over five years, until at age 83, she was ready to meet her God...and so she was taken from us, quietly and peacefully, one night. She is now reunited with the man she loved for over 60 years, her husband, Angelo.Condolences:
