Memorial Comment:
My mother had a difficult life full of sorrows. She was orphaned at age six when her mom was killed by a car as she was stepping off of a streetcar. Later, my mother suffered the loss of her only son who was only three years old and died by accidental poisoning. Afterward, she would suffer once again the effects of losing another loved one when my father died. Now she was left a widow. In spite of all this grief, she was never bitter. Perhaps this suffering made her the special person she was. She was always a kind and helpful soul. The life of the party...She suffered from cancer for many years before succumbing to it. It was before advanced medical technology so her battle with cancer involved having numerous operations and the removal of body organs. My heart was extremely broken when she died. She was not only my best friend, but actually everything to me. I still grieve greatly for her, even after all these years. However, I am thankful that God blessed my life by choosing her to be my mother. What a gem!
Condolences:
Grandma, I still have so many fond memories of you. Thank you for being such a wonderful Grandma! You were a good example of a giving person. We were so sad when you died. Our family was missing such an important part from then on. I constantly dreamt of you and looked for you. I love you:
Your Granddaughter, Vikki
