On Friday April 23, 2004 the world lost the best dad,
husband, paw paw, and friend it had known. Butch was loved by so many.
He was a lover of all sports. From little league baseball to college
football (go Crimson Tide) to pro baseball. He made friends where ever
he went. He will be missed by so many. His wonderful wife, his four
children, his seven grandchildren, and hundreds of friends. We love and
miss you.
Dad, it has only been a week since we lost you, and I
miss you so much. This is so hard. You wanted us to laugh when we
thought of you, but I can't. You were the best father, husband, paw paw,
and friend to so many. It hurts to even imagine football season
without you being there for me to talk to. You will always live on in my
memories and my stories to the boys. I can only hope you are looking down
on me and are proud of the way I am raising them. I don't ever want to
let you down. I love and miss you.
