Nike Burst Series

 These socks were a little dirtier than I usually let them get.  I was walking around in them, inside and out, during a little party I threw for a friend of mine.
He is in the Peace Corps and is leaving for his first tour on October 25th.  He'll be in Northern Africa for a few years teaching and using his architecture degree in a city devastated by years of civil war.
(Geez, the least I could do was give him a going-away party!)
What an awesome person he is to devote these years of his life to such a wonderful activity!  While the rest of us are scouring to finish school and select jobs based on salary and options as we start our lives, he'll be halfway around the world helping to rebuild other people's lives.  Kind of puts things into perspective....
