Brussels is the political capital of Europe. It is offcially a bilingual city; all street signs are written in both French and Flemish (Dutch). The bi-cultural influence is evident in the grand architecture throughout the city.

Virtually destroyed by the bombs of World War II, Berlin is undergoing a massive reconstruction project. When completed, it may well emerge as the most modern city on earth.
