LONDON

History comes alive in this cosmopolitan city. There are magnificent buildings that date back some 800 years. The Tower of London should be on any history buff's "must-see" list.

BRUSSELS

Brussels is the political capital of Europe.  It is offcially a bilingual city; all street signs are written in both French and Flemish (Dutch).  The bi-cultural influence is evident in the grand architecture throughout the city.

KØBENHAVN (COPENHAGEN)

Another beautiful European city, featuring a long pedestrian mall known as the Strøget, in the downtown area.

BERLIN

Virtually destroyed by the bombs of World War II, Berlin is undergoing a massive reconstruction project.   When completed, it may well emerge as the most modern city on earth.

	The Brandenburg Gate (Brandenburger Tor) has symbolized both a united Berlin and a divided Berlin; the latter when the Wall was in place		Germany's Parliament building, the Reichstag, is, on the outside, a recreation of the original facade.  The inside is strictly modern glass and steel.
	The Kürfurstendamm, Berlin's wide-boulevard answer to Paris' Champs d'Elysées		Olympic Stadium, the site of Jesse Owens' 1936 Olympic victories
