| This page is dedicated to my son Wayne. We didnt lose him to any illness but to a terrible accident that could have been prevented. We lost him when he was 16 months old. He was wearing a disposable diaper and it was hot out. He had been taking a nap. When he woke up I went to get him and he had a slight fever. I put him back down in his crib and went to get an asprin. When I gave him the asprin, he stopped breathing. We later found out he had inhaled a tiny piece of the disposable diaper and his lungs fill up with fluid. I urge all parents to make sure that thier babies have at least a pair of shorts on top of the diaper. It never crossed my mind that something like this could happen. They now have warnings on the containers about choking hazard. I wish they had it back then. If this page helps even one baby, it will have done its job. |
