For The U.S. Soldiers In Kosovo, Albania, Yugoslavia, and Macedonia
Soldier
I was that which others did not
want to be.
I went where others feared to go,
and did what others failed to do.
I asked nothing from those that
gave nothing, and reluctantly
accepted the thought of eternal
lonliness...should I fail.
I have seen the face of terror;, felt
the stinging cold of fear; enjoyed
the sweet taste of a moment's love.
I have cried, pained, and
hoped...but most of all, I have lived
times others would say were best
forgotten.
At least someday I will be able to
say that I was proud of what I
was.....a soldier.
George L. Skypeck

You are the ones that make the way
for the rest, the ones that go where
others fear to go, and do what
others fear to do.
You are the brave, the true, the
honorable ones of America's hope.
You are not forgotten, but always in
our hearts, and minds.
You are the hope of those that you
are sent to save, and the light, of
their future.

Hurry home, safe and sound.
