This was the first season running on asphalt. The different surface made for alot of  technical advancements in tire wear, weights, wedge, stagger, springs and strategies. These experiences and alot of hard work over the years to follow would prove to be the backbone of the #23 racing team. The white colored pontiac was an immediate hit with the fans with the pink and blue stripe along the apron of the car. This color scheme continued over the next several seasons. Most of our racing in the first few seasons took place at Spud Speedway located in Caribou, Maine.
