Craftsman Club News The Craftsman Club needs you! Recently we have been blessed with new brothers joining our great fraternity. I will never forget being brought to light and seeing a room full of brothers. With all of the new work before us, I would ask that everyone who is able please join us at the Craftsman Club. This way we will be able to demonstrate to our newly made brothers how much they are appreciated and how interested we are in seeing them continue the path they have started. The Craftsman Club meets Every Tuesday night at 7:00 P.M., and I beleive it to be vital to the future of Masonry.

Sick and Visitation We regret to report the death of brother Herbert D. Edwards. We offer our sympathy and prayers to his wife and family. Brother Danny Tate is having eye surgery and Mrs Bobbie Ricketts is still at home suffering from a serious illness. We extend our prayers to them and we wish them a speedy recovery. If you know of anyone sick or any deaths please contact our Chaplin, Brother Byron Wilkinson, P.M. at 386-9914. Brother Wilkinson has been very good about visiting our sick Brothers and their families, and reporting back to the Lodge. |
Brother James Duke's name was drawn for the $450.00 door prize. Brother Duke was not present to receive the money, therefore it will carry over to October 2, 2003 Stated Meeting and will be valued at $500.00. Brother Ryan Carver won the $50.00 gift certificate to Kroger. Brother Hank Sloan, Woodlawn 211; Joe Martz and Nancy Merrell won the consolation prizes. |
From the Secretary's Desk
Brethren, the names of the Brothers who have not paid their dues were read at the last Stated Meeting. For the ones who have not remitted their dues, you will be receiving a statement of charges along with a restoration petition in the mail. Avoid the suspension by remitting your dues at once. We value you as brothers and are not looking forward in suspending anyone. If a member remits his dues on time the lodge keeps $9.63. $10.00 goes to Grand Lodge for per capita tax. If a second notice is mailed then the lodge gets $9.26 and if a statement of charges and final notice are mailed the lodge reaps $8.89. Please remit your dues if you have not paid them before October 2, 2003 Stated Meeting. |
Brother James Hurt, Grand Lecturer, will visit our Lodge on Monday, October 13, 2003 at 7:00 P.M. All card holders, officers and Past Masters are requested to attend. Anyone wishing to obtain a proficiency card also needs to attend. We will eat at 6:00 P.M. |
