A MESSAGE FROM...
OUR WORSHIPFUL MASTER...

Brethren,
The year is almost at the end and it will be time to elect the Officers for 2004 at our December 4th Stated Meeting.   This will be a very important meeting so make plans to attend.   Nancy is going to make chili, so you can expect a great dinner.
It is time to pay Lodge dues and I urge each of you to pay them as soon as possible.   We regret we had to suspend several members for not paying their dues and I hope we do not have to repeat that again.   If you are unable to pay your dues please contact the secretary and let him know.   Arrangements can be made.   We value as a member and certainly do not want to loose you.
Once again I ask all Past Mesters, who do not pay dues to send the equivalent to the H.C. "Pappy" Warner Fund.   This fund has been used several times to assist brothers of our Lodge and we need to keep it funded.   Your donation will be very much appreciated

Nancy and I wish all our brothers and their families a Happy Thanksgiving and hope you have a safe holiday.

                                                                                  Faternally,
                                                                                  Swayne W. Merrell, WM

Craftsman Club News

The Craftsman Club needs you!   Brothers we have been blessed to have numerous brothers be admitted to the lodge this year.   We need your help.   With those brothers comes a lot of work.   I encourage you to come and be part of the Craftsman Club every Tuesday night at 7:00 P.M.   This is when we as brothers are able to give back to this great Fraternity.   Remember when you were an Entered Apprentice and a brother or brothers so graciously gave their time and knowledge to see you advance.   We simply ask you to return the favor.

                                                                              Ryan Carver, SW

From the Secretary's Desk

The 2004 dues cards are out   I have mailed statements and several brothers have all ready mailed their dues for next year and I want to thank them.   If you haven't mailed you dues for 2004, please due so.

We have a Library at the Lodge that contains all of our minutes and several historical pieces.   Recently we have been contacted by love ones of some of our deceased members and some items have been donated to the lodge.   If anyone has anything they would like to donate to the lodge, please contact us and we will see that it is picked-up and brought to the lodge.   Brother Bowen is bringing us a photo of our Past Master from 1901.   The granddaughter of another Past Master donated a gold card that DeSoto Lodge used to present to Past Masters along with some other items.   These items will be displayed in the Library.   We thank both of them for these items.
