A MESSAGE FROM...
OUR WORSHIPFUL MASTER...
Brethren,
We hosted the Grand Lecturer on Friday, October 26, 2001, and those who were up for renewal of Proficiency Cards graded well as the Lodge. The representation of our Officers was not the best that it could have been. Without the Past Masters who were there we would not have had enough people to do any work at all. The only way that we can continue to work as a Lodge is through Officers that are dedicated and put DeSoto Lodge ahead of all other things that might be occurring throughout the City and County. All of us have things we would like to do with our families and friends, but as an officer, the Lodge MUST be first.
Don't forget our awards dinner, set for November 13, 2001. Get your reservations in early.
Fraternally,
Gene Major, WM

We are still taking donations to the H C 'Pappy' Warner fund. This is the only "Charity" fund that DeSoto has, and it has been used extensively during the past several years. We need your help in restoring this fund, so that we may continue to 'help, aid and assist' worthy distressed Brothers and their families.

| The Awards dinner has been set for Tuesday, November 13, 2001, at 7 PM. There will be several awards presented and all are invited to attend. Get your reservations in by calling the Lodge or the Secretary. We must have a count no later than Sunday, November 11, 2001. Any reservations after that time can not assure you of a meal. |
|
|
| The Stated Meeting for December will see the election of officers for the year, 2002. If you do not know those proposed for Officers, you should attend Lodge and become acquainted with them. DeSoto must continue to have qualified people in positions of authority, if we are to insure the growth of this Lodge and the tradition of excellence to which we are accustomed. |

Dues for 2002 are now due and payable. Please remit your $20 with the following information.
