A MESSAGE FROM...
OUR WORSHIPFUL MASTER...

Brethren,
I want to thank everyone who worked so hard to make our Valentine Dinner a huge success.   I want to especially thank Brother Elbert Martz, our Master of Ceremonies, Brother Gene Major, who provided the gifts and prizes for the bingo games, The Rainbow Girls for the delicious dinner and the ladies of the Lodge for decorating and setting the dining room.   Approximately eighty people attended the dinner, making this one of the largest events of the year.   Our honored guests, the ladies, were presented a nice box of candy and a rose.   After dinner we played bingo for gifts and candy.   I also, want to thank the ladies and members of the other lodges for attending.   We had several members who haven't been able to make it to lodge lately.   I look forward to their presence at the lodge functions in the coming months.   There was good fellowship and lots of fun for everyone who attended.   Make sure you do not miss our next dinner April 26th honoring our Fifty-year Members and Past Masters.
Our Spring Officers' Meeting will be held March 20, 2003 at Anderton's Restaurant at 7:00 pm.   All Officers and Past Masters are urged to attend.   Make your reservations by contacting the secretary at 837-4579.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Brother Tim Cook, Sr., P.M. who was called to active duty and any other brother serving our Great Country.

                                                                                Faternally,
                                                                                Swayne W. Merrell, WM

Craftsman Club News

I would like to take this opportunity to thank those brothers who regularly attend the Craftsman Club.   I would like to encourage everyone to come that is able.   We have combined forces with Memphis 118 in order to assist in learning the degree work.   I know as a young mason myself, I enjoy being able to learn from those knowledgeable Brethren and also help with the younger Brethren.   The instruction you could receive or give is vital to the future of Freemasonry.

Winners of Stated Meeting Drawings

The winner of the $50.00 gift certificate to Lowe's was Brother David Johnson.   The name of Brother Thomas Adolph Rodgers was drawn for the $150.00 cash prize.   Brother Rodgers was not present to claim the prize, therefore the $150.00 will carry over to the April Stated Meeting which will be valued at $200.00.   The winners of the consolation prizes were: Brother Elbert Martz and Mrs Reba Brown.   Our next Stated Meeting will be on April 3, 2003.   We will be serving ham.   Bring a dish and come join us.

From the Secretary's Desk

I want to thank all the Brothers who have paid their dues for the Year 2003.   We still have a few Brothers that have not paid their dues for the Year 2003.   Second notices will be mailed soon.   If you have not paid your dues for 2003, please mail them and save the Lodge the cost of mailing a second notice.   Remember if there is any reason you can not pay your dues, contact me and let me know; and the Lodge will remit your dues for you.   We value you as a Brother and do not want to loose you as a Brother.   We know that sometimes a medical condition or loss of work can place us in a position where we need a little help.   That's the reason the H.C. "Pappy" Warner Fund was created.

If anyone has any information about the following Brothers, please contact me.
Cecil Wade Dickens, Jack Bowman, Elton Earl Mills, Clarence Dudley Ford, R.T. Willaims, Franklin Laverne Pierce, or William Henry Gates.

I have no address or phone number on any of them.

We had a great time at the Valentine's Dinner.   We hope our next dinner will be as successful as this one.   April 26, 2003 is the date of the dinner honoring our Fifty-year Members and Past Masters.

Serving Our Country

Brother Tim Cook, Sr. was activated and is currently serving a tour of duty at the United States Pentagon.   We ask you keep him in your prayers, as well as, all the other men and women on duty in various places around the world.   We also ask you to pray for our leaders and that they make the correct decisions that are best for our country and the world.
