OUR WORSHIPFUL MASTER...

Brethren,

        Our Lodge's annual Valentine's Day Dinner on February 10 was a great success with over 90 people in attendance.   The Rainbow Girls served a delicious dinner.   Mrs. Edith Carkeet was honored as DeSoto Lodge's Valentine Sweetheart for her years of support to our Lodge and to her late husband, Brother Stuart Carkeet, who was a member of DeSoto Lodge for many years.   She was deeply moved and thanked us all.   Again,   Congratulations to Mrs. Edith Carkeet.
        Don't forget that Tennessee Grand Lodge will be held in Nashville on March 27-29, 2001.   Several of our Brothers intend to attend.   Check the DeSoto Lodge website for upcoming FC and Master Masons Degrees in March.

Thursday, March 8, 2001, DeSoto Lodge will be conferring the Master Mason Degree on the older son of our Senior Warden.   Dinner will be at 6:00 PM with the Degree to follow.   (We may also have another Master Degree)   Come, join us in the conferring of these degrees and enjoy the fellowship of DeSoto Lodge #299.
 

 

Are you current in your Lodge dues?   If not, you may remit your dues to the Lodge at 272 Court Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104.   For those few of you who pay only with a notice, enclosed in the envelope with this March Digest is a yearly Lodge calendar, and your dues notice.

Did you know that when you move and do not notify the Lodge of your new address, that we not only must pay the postage to send your Digest out, but when it is returned we have to pay an additional 34 cents.   When you change your address, PLEASE notify the Lodge of your new address.
 

 

Don't forget the H C 'Pappy' Warner Charity Fund.   This fund has been used several times during the past several years.   If you can spare something for it, it will be used for the purpose of providing assistance to 'Worthy Distressed Brothers and their Families'.   Remember your first Masonic duty - to help, aid, and assist.   Any amount will do!   Thanks to those who have already contributed.
