A MESSAGE FROM...
OUR WORSHIPFUL MASTER...
Brethren,
I must express disappointment in the low turnout for many of our scheduled events, especially Lodge Workdays. Extra measures are taken to insure that everyone knows our schedule by putting notices in our Digest, on our Website, and at times, in the Lodge Building. The support usually is from the same few people. At our last workday, our 7 faithful Brothers were joined by 1 member from Angerona Lodge. Although there always seems to be something that someone wants done, they never want to show and help with the work. Our building is beautiful, but needs some TLC. If the other owning bodies aren't going to help, (and it appears they aren't) we at DeSoto must step up and do as much as we can, if we are to preserve our finances for the future. Otherwise, we can let the Temple Board hire the Professionals to complete the work, even though it will be at great cost to all.
Remember, you are either part of a problem or part of the solution. We need help to restore and maintain this building and make a Masonic Temple for which we can all be proud. If we aren't going to get any more help and support from our own people as well as the other owning bodies, maybe we should just wait for the Temple Board to have the work done and then pay our share. It's your call. Please let me know your thoughts.
Faternally,
Gene Major, WM

| Congratulations to PM Swayne Merrell, who was honored at the PM Dinner this year. |

Have you contributed to the H C 'Pappy' Warner fund? This fund needs some additional monies if we are to be able to continue to 'help, aid and assist worthy Brothers and their families'. Won't you try to give something? Any small amount will do. It will be greatly appreciated. |

| Brother Frank Cherry, our Junior Deacon, would like to thank DeSoto Lodge and its members for the support and prayers extended to his family during the illness of his brother, Bob. As you are aware, Bob suffered a severe illness recently, but has now greatly improved. He asks that we continue our prayers. Brother Cherry, we look forward to seeing your smiling face and glowing personality in the Lodge, again. |
