A MESSAGE FROM...
  OUR WORSHIPFUL MASTER...

Brethren,
Words cannot express the great privilege you bestowed upon me by allowing me to serve as Maaster of DeSoto Lodge #299.   The Brotherly Love, Loyalty and Wise Counsel you each gave me will forever be remembered as A Great High Point in my life.
This year I have tried to, by using the Holy Bible, to through the building, completion, and dedication of King Solomon's Temple.   Lasy month we touched on the fact that God again talked to King Solomon and warned hin not to ever worship any other gods.   unfortunately, after King Solomon married the daughter of Hiram, King of Tyre, she convinced him to worship other gods.   "For it came to pass, when Solomon was old that his wives turned away his heart after other gods; and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God..." 1 Kings 11:4.   This sin led to the eventual destruction of this magnificent Temple by King Nebuchadnezzer's army.   Therefore, brethren let us remember the First word we spoke inside the Lodge and constantly keep our faith in the one and only true Holy God, lest we too, fail in our commitment to Freemasonry."
At our December stated meeting our new Master and officers were elected and appointed.   My congratulations to them and my prayers will be that the year 2001 will be DeSoto Lodge #299's best year ever.

                                                                                               Faternally,
