Vice is the unit withing the police department that is responsible for the capture, detainment and culling of those in the illegal drug trade, trafficers, as well as prositution, Black Market and gambling.
It is most often these officers who work with federal authorities like the D.E.A. and A.T.F. on joint operations. Its is possible, depending on the nature of a case for VICE officers to work in joint effort with any other branch of the police department as well.
Vice officers spend a great deal of time working undercover or developing contacts. This type of police work leaves them with a constant ear on the streets and many sources to turn to if need be.
