The SWAT team stands as the police department's last resort and special operations unit. The SWAT team of the sity are only used in the worst of all situations. Terrorist activity, gang warfare, hostage situations, massive drug raids and during periods of martial law. The men and women would make up the SWAT teams stand ready. Each is highly trained and would be the civilian equiviila to the National Guard.
Though seldom needed, the SWAT team stands ready at all time. Most often called on for the use of a sniper and deployed at the service of another department.
